Many of my essences are made in the south of England where I now live and have lived for most of my adult life.
The following are all flower essences made from flowers in my garden in Chichester, West Sussex:
Bindweed – yes I’m sad to say I have struggled with Bindweed in both my front and back garden. They are very pretty delicate white flowers but it is horrible the way Bindweed wraps itself around everything close to it as if strangling anything in its path. Found in Positive Progression Flower Essence Cream.
Hollyhock – I love these flowers and the way they will appear in lots of different places as their seeds have been carried by the wind. Found in Positive Progression Flower Essence Cream, Bee and Feel Connected Flower Essence Cream and Star Flower Hand and Body Cream.
Starflower or Borage as it’s also called. This little flower loves my garden and again springs up in many places. Found in Rose Star Flower Cream, Star Flower Hand and Body Cream, and Bee and Feel Connected Flower Essence Cream.
Sweet Pea – such a beautiful flower. Its delicacy reminds me of orchids. Found in Bee and Feel Connected Flower Essence Cream.
The following I made from flowers I collected from a large garden also in Chichester:
Lavender – I’m in love with lavender – beautiful when it’s flowering and very popular with bees. Great to use at the end of the summer to make lavender bags for my wardrobe and drawers and to give as presents. Then the essential oil is just so versatile and gentle so I always have a bottle close by. Found in Bee and Feel Connected Flower Essence Cream, Star Flower Hand and Body Cream.
Purple Salvia – another pretty flower popular with bees. Found in Bee and Feel Connected Flower Essence Cream, Flower Foot Cream, and Star Flower Hand and Body Cream.
Kingley Vale, West Sussex
I made the Yew Tree essence in Positive Progression Flower Essence Cream from an ancient Yew Tree in Kingley Vale, a wonderful place to go for a walk not far from Chichester. Please watch the short video to get a glimpse of how magical the ancient Yew trees are.
The Sea Connection Essence Cream is made with the essence of four types of seaweed, two pebbles and a shell gathered from the beach at West Wittering beach, near Chichester. The seaweed I identified as the following:
Channelled Wrack – pelvetia canaliculata Wire weed – sargassam municun inwaler Bladder wrack – focus vesiculosus
Green seaweeds – ulva species
